It's been seven months since my first post, so maybe it's time I introduced myself. I'm Lawrence Levi, co-author of The Film Snob's Dictionary. Haven't heard of it? Excerpts appear in the latest issue of Vanity Fair, and on our very own Snobsite. The book (which comes out February 21) has already left several readers amused and at least one baffled; we hope you'll be enlightened, or at the very least irked.
Looker's cinephilic readers will undoubtedly have a bone or three to pick with the book—that's what Snobsite's Nitpickers' Corner is for. As for me, I'm happy to have finally shed my anonymity. I just hope Anthony Lane isn't waiting outside with a baseball bat.
And AO Scott is absent from the pages of the Times for a second week. Coincidence?

Lawrence--It feels good to address you by your real name!
Best wishes with the book launch.

Big ups and many congrats on the book release, I'm sooo gonna make you autograph my copy when I see you next.
It's also good to hear you've come out of that closet of blog anonymity. I'm trying to think of the best Cinetrix joke to make here, but she'd literally kill me.

I've been anticipating this since I first saw "Rock Snobs" in the bookstore. Had no idea it was being penned by a member of the blogosphere. So Tuesday's the day, huh? Glad there's a bookstore by my work.
