Speaking of Fitzcarraldo, a friend in Berlin snapped this photo last week at the Deutsche Kinemathek: it’s a model used for a few scenes in the movie. Of course, the ship that went over the mountain was an actual steamship, not a miniature; Herzog wouldn’t have had it any other way.
